This amalgamation brings together the expertise of two of the largest suppliers and installers of floor coverings in Southern Africa which will in turn strengthen their position in the flooring market while offering their clients a national presence and a pooled knowledge base. In addition, the merger will enable an exchange of management skills and provide opportunities for continued growth and long term sustainability.
Albert Carpets and Kevin Bates will continue to trade under their existing brand names with customers continuing to receive the same high quality of service which they have come to expect from these reputable companies.
The directors and shareholders believe that this merger is a natural progression after many years of collaboration.

Albert Carpets were selected as preferred suppliers of sustainable flooring for the Cape Town Stadium. The following products were installed: InterfaceFlor carpet tiles, Marmoleum sheeting, Style Strand Woven Bamboo and Norament rubber tiles.
The InterfaceFlor carpet tiles were installed with TacTile and not the traditional stick down installation. With TacTiles you create a durable installation of InterfaceFlor carpet tiles over your existing floor without permanent adhesion. With TacTiles the tiles adhere to one another, creating a "floating floor" making for easy installation, removal and replacement. The Strand Woven Bamboo was laid on 3mm cork underlay from Amorim Cork.
